Washing Guidelines

While most high-fired stoneware glazes are dishwasher-safe, hand washing with mild dish soap and a soft sponge is the gentlest method for preserving high-gloss glazes over time.

Avoiding Thermal Shock

Ceramics dislike extreme, sudden temperature shifts (thermal shock). Avoid pouring boiling water directly into a freezing-cold ceramic mug, or putting a cold ceramic dish directly from the refrigerator into a preheated high-temp oven.
